What is a System Concept Statement?
A System Concept Statement is a mission statement for a system to explain the system to outsiders and to help set focus and scope for system development internally.
The Canvas Student 2.0 app will replace the old Canvas Student app, which is an app that provides students access to their school courses utilizing a mobile device, by providing a more streamlined experience for students so that they can easily take control of their classes. The problem of missing deadlines for assignments will be solved by allowing students to stay up-to-date via a clean and organized user interface.
The design vision of the new app is to exclude unnecessary tabs and functions and add icons to help students have a more intuitive grasp of the dynamics of their course while also increasing the school spirit of the users by providing customized designs per school. The new app aims to provide an empowering experience for students that allows them to get rid of any confusions when it comes to navigating their courses. (144 words)
